Getting in Kuantan Snail Stew

What is Snail curry Kuantan? Riau archipelago's typical meals? Indonesian food that needs to be tried by foreign countries. Every time she came home to the Bay Kuantan for a holiday or when there is work to Pekanbaru affairs and took back to the Gulf of Kuantan, I never forget to taste the delicious curry snails (in Malay dialect called goulash cipuik Kuantan).
Snail rice is the main raw material goulash snails. The size is approximately the size of a marble to seed a little bigger than marbles. In Kuantan District Singingi snails are usually caught in the rice fields during the dry season or when precipitation is not too high. At the height of the rainy season when the rice fields flooded much water a little hard to catch snails.
Snail fresh (generally in a state still alive) can be found in traditional markets in Kuantan District Singingi, peddled by mothers in the market overhang. The dose used is usually quarts or tekong (the size of a can of sweetened condensed milk packaging).
Snails cooked in a spicy sauce seasoned 'moderate' and that is not too thick coconut milk. Usually one of the snails cooked with vegetable supplement (in local language called potpourri) such as beans, taro shoots, eggplant tart, or fern (spikes). It was? supple and exciting. Exciting, because it needs extra effort to eat it. Snail meat aspirated (in-slurup) to release it from the shell. When eaten together, the sound of a straw makes dining atmosphere became crowded by voice shouted straw. So you can easily aspirated rear perforated shells before cooking.
For fellow bloggers who want to try this food, I recommend not to look for in a restaurant, I understand that the food has not been the menu of the restaurant. This meal is a family-style menu Kuantan. To enjoy a family we have visited Kuantan. When visiting Kuantan District Singingi, you can contact fellow blogger from Kuansing Blogger Community, they would be happy to entertain you with snail stew.
